Dr. Thimsen moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado in September 1997 from Duluth, Minnesota with his family. After nine years of college and medical school and five years of residency in general surgery, Dr. Thimsen was awarded the privilege to study plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His practice is based in Glenwood Springs with an office in Edwards and Rifle. As a plastic surgeon Dr. Thimsen performs both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Thimsen enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with his family.
